The Surge: A Cinco de Mayo Party

Stop by JC Underground from 10PM to 3AM for a party with Hayoner, DJ Robcast, and a bunch of awesome people including The Girls Room JC, Society Needs Culture, Chilltown Social, and more. Orale is having a 2-day Cinco de Mayo celebration. There’ll be live music, Suaza tequila, food, and more all weekend. On Cinco de Mayo, there’ll be a live mariachi band playing from 12PM to 3PM and a DJ for the rest of the night. Make a reservation now! 

Mi Mariachi Taqueria

213 Sip Ave

If you’re looking for good, authentic Mexican food, head over to Mi Mariachi on Sip Ave in Journal Square! They serve up some delicious tacos, quesadillas, pan Mexicano, and even breakfast sandwiches.

Los Tres Chilitos

456 Central Ave

If you’re hanging out in the Heights, Los Tres Chilitos is the perfect spot for some good Mexican food. You can grab anything from a shake to enchiladas to nachos loaded with your choice of ground beef, chicken, or steak!

Taqueria Downtown

The weather is finally getting with the program and it feels like spring/summer, so why not enjoy some dinner outdoors? Taqueria has an open area in the back that’s perfect for these warmer days, and their food is incredible!

Jersey City Food Truck Fest

Urby Parking Lot, 200 Greene St

Check out the Food Truck Fest at the Urby parking lot from 12PM to 7:30PM! There’ll be over 20 food trucks, a bunch of family-friendly activities, and a beer and wine garden, live music (including a live Mariachi band and 3AM Tokyo) and more. Admission is only $5 (kids under 12 are free).

Cinco de Gringo’s Party

From 12PM to 10PM, you can stop by Gringo’s on Coles St for food, drinks and music! There’ll be a taco eating contest, boozy pints, and tons of giveaways throughout the day. Book your reservation! 

LITM

140 Newark Ave

Join LITM for Cinco de Mayo as they bring in an exclusive menu of delicious and authentic Mexican comfort food by Chef Eduardo Rugiero! There’ll also be drink specials all night for margaritas, Corona, Tecate, spicy cocktails, and more.

Piggyback Bar

Starting at 4:30 PM, Piggyback will have some special menu items including 4 different types of delicious tacos – shredded pork adobo, chorizo, fried fish with calamansi aioli and cabbage, and corn and roasted poblano with cheese – along with some awesome drink specials! They’ll have $6 frozen Thai-chili margaritas, $5 margaritas, $6 Peach margaritas, $4 Tecate, $7 tecate + tequila shots, and $4 tequila shots.
