Welcome Home Jersey City is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides educational, employment, and material support to refugees, asylees, and asylum-seekers in the Jersey City area. With schools closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students are forced to depend on online and distance learning strategies. Welcome Home has made it a priority to provide students with volunteer tutors and to put the technology in their hands to make distance tutoring possible.
Welcome Home has set up an Amazon wishlist including laptops, tablets, and tablet keyboards to allow students to continue learning. Help level the playing field so refugee children have a chance to keep up with our own children.
