Over 30 events are happening around Jersey City! Which for anyone can be overwhelming, where do you go? what do you do?! That being said, I am sitting this weekend out. I might go to one or two things but I am in need of an actual weekend (I am probably lying). Anyway, I figured I would be of service and give you guys my top five for this weekend! Which has something for everyone; the family, the pet lovers, punk rockers, art lovers and foodies! yay.
JCFamilies 2nd Annual Cultural Diversity Festival
Jersey City is the most diverse city in the country, so I was so excited to hear about JCFamilies 2nd annual cultural diversity festival happening in front of City Hall.
There will be performances from different cultures, amazing food options, plenty of activities for kids and there is a rumor that there will be free massages for the Dads! This should be a really fun event for the whole family…

Hamilton Bark
Pet owners rejoice! Saturday is your day. The Liberty Humane Society is throwing it’s second annual “Hamilton Bark”. I don’t have a pet, but I am actually considering going to this to see if the stars aline and maybe fall in love with a furry creature. You really never know!
On top of plenty of vendors (there for the whole fam), this year there will be Canine Field Day! they are hosting hours of on-leash games and contests for dog-owners and their pets to participate in, all led by a professional trainer!
The Casualties/Crazy & The Brains / Inertia- Live @ The Funhouse
I went to the Crazy & The Brains first show at The Funhouse about a month ago and had a blast!! If you want to see live music, drink PBR and just rock out this is the place to be. Loved every minute! If I can’t be there you must go and let me know how much fun you had… and download their song “Ice Cream” it’s my favorite summer jam.
Lincoln Park farmers Market
This Sunday will be the first day of the Lincoln Park Farmers market! It’s no secret how much I enjoy our farmers markets, it’s so fun being able to buy fresh fruits and veggies, treats from local artisans and then also hang out in the park!
Art Fest
The Art Fest is on the top of my list!! If we didn’t have Fathers day plans, I would be there for sure!! I am sad to be missing it! Shopping & Music by some of Jersey City’s most talented, what else could you ask for?!
