Prom Styles – Lynn Hazan

About a month ago, I had a whole week dedicated to one of my favorite Jersey City shops; Another Man’s Treasure. Meika and I teamed up to bring you all; fashions from almost every decade as well as get the behind the scenes look of running a vintage shop. Today, is the never before seen shoot we did wearing 50’s prom dresses!! So why am I posting this now? Well, this Friday in conjunction with Marelyn from Allure Event Consultants, DJ George Soul and Dennis from Damaged Wear, we are throwing a fun Halloween party to benefit the Jersey City Youth Foundation! A lot of fashion from the 80’s was actually taken from the 50’s according to Meika; Tulle dresses, vibrant colors…

We did this shoot around the corner from AMT, we thought it would be cute to also take a few pics at Torico’s ice cream…That and it was lunch time and we were both craving Ice Cream cones. After spending almost an entire week with the AMT fam and getting to know everyone, I seriously felt sad when it was over!

Meika, what are we wearing? We are both wearing 1950’s prom dresses…people probably would’ve worn them for other occasions too but most likely they were prom dresses.

You have a 1950’s pink lace tulle dress and woven plaid shoes and a 1950s white floral netted hat.

I have on a 1950’s baby blue tulle dress, I’m wearing late 1940s straw shoes, and a netted feather hat. I’ve got a 1950s made in France handbag and also a multi strand pearl and crystal necklace.
